Vehicle Service - Disconnecting Power
To avoid any power spikes interfering with the Black Moth system we recommend removing power from the system during any vehicle servicing.
ie. welding, battery replacement

Note: this process requires the disconnection of a power connector. Review this guide in full before proceeding.
Turn on the vehicle
1. Turn on the vehicle's ignition to allow the Black Moth system to turn on.
To ensure the Black Moth system shuts down correctly we must force a shutdown rather than waiting for the timers to kick in.
If the vehicle is turned off you are unable to access the Settings menu.
2. Access the Black Moth Settings press the 'Settings' icon located in the top right of the monitor.
This will pop-up a window with a keypad asking for a PIN code.
3. The PIN code is '2012' - press 'OK'.
4. Press 'Advanced Settings'.
The very bottom left option is the power options menu (you may have to scroll down).
5. Press on 'POWER'.
6. Press 'REBOOT'.
7. After pressing 'REBOOT' disconnect the ISO connector as marked on the TigerMX-5. See below.

If the ISO connector is not disconnected the system will begin to reboot in 30 seconds.
Turn off the vehicle
8. Turn off the vehicle's Ignition and isolate the vehicle as required.
9. Disconnect the Anderson Plug from the Black Moth Junction Box.
