Universe - Admin Settings - Adding a Vehicle

Adding a new vehicle to Universe requires creating 3 additional entries. 
1.  Sim Card Details
2. System Details
3. Vehicle Details

Where to get started

To get started, you'll need to visit universe.blackmoth.com (you can press the "esc" key on your keyboard to skip the loading animation) and then click "Admin". Depending on which entry you'll be adding next, you'll then need to click one of these options under "Admin": "SIM Cards" or "Systems" or "Installations".


There is a common field throughout this process that needs to be updated per entry - Resource Group. 
A Resource Group defines who has permission to view/edit this entry. 
The below structure allows the "Company" resource group to view anything inside 'Company', 'Office', and 'Department'.
However, 'Department' can only see items inside 'Department'.
- Company
----> Office
--------> Department

Add New SIM Card

These details can be found in Sim Card management centre ie. Jasper



Add New System 

A system serial number should already exist, if it doesn't try to add it, if you get an error please contact support@blackmoth.com
A system is a TigerMX-5 Server that is installed, this step links the system with the IP address. 
These details can be found on the physical item's label. 



Add New Installation

An installation is a vehicle that the above System will be added to, this step links the 2 together. 



Done!
Refresh the page to ensure all details are correct. 
Allow 10 minutes for Universe to sync the settings before software updates are made possible.
