Monitor Troubleshooting - Dual Monitor Setup (Atom Module Installed)
Used to determine the root cause of power, flickering/colour or touch related issues when there are 2 monitors installed on the installation.
Display Ports
Display port 1 (Atom - Customer Software) is on the topside and display port 2 (Atlas - Cameras) is on the bottom side, as labeled on the TigerMX.
Troubleshooting
1. Determine Faulty Monitor
RED shows the faulty monitor/cable/port, GREEN for the working monitor/cable/port.
2. Swap Cables at the TigerMX Display Ports
- Swap the cables between DISP 1 and DISP2.
- If the original faulty monitor is still faulty then it's not a Tiger port fault.
- Return the cables to the original Display Ports and continue to the next section.
- If the previously working monitor is now failing and the previously failing monitor is now working then it's a TigerMX Display port fault.
- Replace the TigerMX.

Before replacing the TigerMX...
In rare instances, a defective display cable can lead to the failure of the port it is connected to on the tiger.
If it has been determined that a display port on the tiger is not functioning properly, the first step is to test the original display cable that was connected to the faulty port before replacing the tiger. Connect the cable to the other (functioning) display port, wiggle it at both the display connector and the tiger port connector, and observe the screen for any issues such as flickering, color irregularities, power problems, or touch screen malfunctions.
If any problems are observed or if the touch functionality ceases to work on the second port, it is likely that tthe cable is the culprit and should be replaced along with the tiger.
3. Swap Cables at the Monitors
- Disconnect the cables from behind each of the monitors and reconnect them to the opposing monitor.
- If the originally failing monitor is still failing then it's a monitor fault
- Replace the Monitor
- If the originally failing monitor is now working and the previously working monitor in now failing then it's a cable fault.
- Replace the Cable.
